Our team of specialised engineers, naval architects and technicians, with their sound knowledge of such programs as Aveva, Cadmatic and AutoCAD, brings each design to life with a combination of skill, long years of experience and an eye for details.

Whether the project involves a state-of-the-art mega yacht, a special vessel or a cruise ship, we offer totally customized engineering services for all types of ship interior meeting the requirements of our customers in every way. These cover areas like acoustics, pipe-conduit systems, air conditioning and ventilation technology, on-board electronics, fire prevention and thermal insulation, along with all manner of interior fittings.

Our team works in cooperation with shipyards, owners and architects on the analyses and calculations, that are used as a foundation for basic as well as detailed designs, before drafting the production drawings and installation plans concerned.

The professional presentation of designs as 2D and 3D models (also available as photo-realistic representations on request) shortens the planning phase of the interior fittings, while significantly reducing the expense associated with cost-intensive mock-ups.

 

Prefabricated cabins - consulting & planning

The high level of complexity and the aim to increase efficiency in large-scale projects are challenges for all companies, also in the shipbuilding industry. These will require pre-production solutions to meet tight schedules and budgets. We want to offer our customers full service - from the first draft to installation and delivery. For this reason, the R&M Group's portfolio includes also the development and manufacture of prefabricated cabins and wet units.

We develop cabins individually and accordingly to all standards considering all regulations, like fire protection. By using of modern software tools and in close cooperation with our customers, we develop passenger or crew cabins as well as their extensive visualizations, which are converted into fully equipped cabins. Upon request, we build detailed mock-ups during the planning phase, which can be visited in our production halls. The subsequent installation is carried out by our experienced employees at the shipyards worldwide.

Prefabricated and tailor-made solutions offer tremendous advantages: since the prefabricated components are produced outside the ship, large parts of the work processes can be carried out at the same time, which leads to more efficiency in the project operations. While the production in our specialized production facilities ensures a high quality and consistent standards, delivery times remain short and rework on site can be avoided. Consequently, we reduce overall assembly times and can thus realize large quantities and ensure on-time completion of the projects.

Our engineers support you in every aspect, as the cabins can be designed according to your wishes and down to the smallest detail. In addition to walls, ceilings, doors, floors and furniture, we manufacture wet units and assemble the individual components into finished cabins. The modules are installed as fully equipped units on board any types of ship. However, they are also suitable for semi-modular installation. Our cabins meet the requirements of the current fire protection regulations for ships and are protected against sound and vibration by special insulation technology.
