Project „Mein Schiff 3“ completed by R&M Finland
On 22 May 2014, R&M Finland completed successfully the project „Mein Schiff 3“ on commission by STX Finland Oy. R&M Finland contributed a full scope of consulting, engineering, planning and execution of the new building “Mein Schiff 3”. Different turnkey solutions were offered and delivered – consisting of 16 HVAC (heating, ventilation and air-conditioning), public areas (reception and x-lounge), crew areas as well as the installation of ventilation systems and piping systems for the passenger areas.
The new cruise liner has a length of 300 m and a width of 35 m. It has altogether 15 decks equipped with 1.250 passenger cabins, 12 bars and lounges, 11 restaurants and bistros with a total area of about 5.000 m², SPA and sport activities as well as a generous upper deck, which a space of 17.795 m².
On 12 June 2014, “Mein Schiff 3” was christened in the harbor of Hamburg. One day later the ship started its first journey via Le Havre, Lisbon, Cádiz to Palma de Mallorca. It is the third generation of the company TUI Cruises.
Furthermore, the new building of the sister ship “Mein Schiff 4” is currently in the dry dock of STX Finland in Turku. R&M Finland contributes to this ship even with an extended scope of services. The delivery is planned for November 2014.
