R&M employees GWO-certified for offshore deployment
Working offshore on platforms or wind energy plants often takes place in rough environmental conditions such as gales, storms, or rain. Anyone working in these conditions must be prepared for emergencies. For this reason, only those who can prove they have the relevant training are permitted to work offshore.
Several employees from R&M Germany have completed such an offshore safety training course in the Offshore Safety Training Center in Cuxhaven and were awarded the GWO (Global Wind Organisation) certificate. This certificate is valid throughout Europe and means that our employees are ideally prepared to work on offshore facilities safely and to perform high-quality work.
The training course consists of several modules, including surviving at sea, HUET (Helicopter Underwater Escape Training), fire-fighting, ship safety, climbing and rescuing onshore and climbing, rescuing, and practical personnel transfer training offshore.
