R&M Finland successfully completes project at Mardi Gras
Mardi Gras - not only the newest addition, but also the largest ship in the Carnival fleet to date. With a capacity of approximately 5200 passengers and a wide range of on-board activities, the Carnival Cruise Lines cruise ship powered by liquefied gas can shine as a real highlight. And that’s not the only thing! The new Mardi Gras pays homage to the original TSS Mardi Gras from 1972, which is also reflected in the ship's interior.
R&M Finland was involved in this exciting project of the Carnival Mardi Gras, which was built at the Meyer Turku shipyard in Finland and successfully delivered to Carnival Cruise Line in December 2020.
R&M participated in various areas of the Carnival Mardi Gras, managing the full scope of engineering, planning and execution of the vessel areas. The successful project completion included the main restaurant, shopping area, utility and galley areas, and AC rooms. The total scope of all R&M's projects on the Mardi Gras was approximately 12000 m².
Current plans are that the cruise liner will soon sail to its home port, Port Canaveral in Orlando Florida and start sailing in the Caribbean.
The R&M team wishes the Mardi Gras a safe travels!
