R&M Group takes big steps towards innovative engineering and digital services
The R&M Group starts into a new era with its plans for the implementation of groundbreaking engineering and digital services. For the realization of this new competence Mr. Heikki Pöntynen was nominated as Senior Vice President of Engineering and Digital Services and Member of the Executive Board of the R&M Group.

Mr. Pöntynen comes to R&M with an extensive international career in the maritime sector. He held several senior management positions, e.g. in McGregor Group, in Finn-Power, as SVP in Elomatic, as Managing Director of Sovella and latest as CEO of Rauma Marine Construction and has worked in Finland, China and the US. Mr. Pöntynen holds a Master of Science degree in Naval Architecture and an eMBA from Kelloqq-WHU School of Management. “I am excited about this opportunity, where I have the chance to support R&M to become the frontrunner in the new digital era.”, comments Heikki Pöntynen on his new assignment.
R&M is growing intensively in the passenger vessel and cruise market and has an order book of several hundred million euros.
