From the 03 - 06 December 2013 the exhibition Marintec took place in Shanghai. The Marintec is considered to be the leading and most important trading platform in the maritime industry in Asia.

The Marintec China will take place from 3 to 6 December 2013 in the Shanghai New International Expo Centre and is an international exhibition for the sectors shipbuilding, propulsion technology, harbour facilities and more.

The important event took place in Rostock on 25 September 2013 to mark the launch of Alvedoor Marine, the new product division of the R&M Group. Many guests, among them customers, business partners and suppliers, from all over the world were invited.

R&M Ship Technologies Finland Oy, a subsidiary of R&M Group, based in Turku (Finland), has received its first order from STX Finland Rauma Shipyard in June this year. It is about the conversion of the cruise ship MS Oslofjord.

This year, R&M Ship Interior AS, a subsidiary of R&M Group, successfully initiated a strategic restart with the participation at the Nor-Shipping from 04 - 07 June 2013. The Nor-Shipping takes place every two years in Oslo and with more than 1,000 international exhibitors is considered to be one of the most important meetings of the shipping industry worldwide.

The R&M Group has merged the European activities of their two product lines Alvedoor and Marine Products into newly formed product division namely Alvedoor Marine. Alvedoor had been acquired by R&M in mid-2012.

In June 2012 R&M Group entered into a strategic partnership with Linjebygg Offshore AS (LBO) by founding a joint venture named ISO Prefab AS. LBO is a well-established specialist for off- and onshore engineering and industrial services and tailor made solutions. The equally owned, Molde-based joint venture designs and produces components for insulation and interior at off- / and onshore processing plants.

For the first time R&M Ship Interior AS, an R&M Group company, will participate at the Nor-Shipping in Oslo. The Nor-Shipping is the leading maritime event week in Norway.
